Last August 24, 2012, the annual career orientation for third and fourth year high school students was held at the Good Shepherd Christian School.

The career orientation serves as a guide for the students to help them decide on what course to take up and also to help them choose the perfect school for their course.

More than 10 colleges and universities went to Good Shepherd Christian School to orient the students and to promote their schools and the different courses that they
are offering.

The following schools participated in the career orientation namely José Rizal University, Asia Pacific College, Raffles, Emilio Aguinaldo College, Lyceum of the Philippines University, Our Lady of Fatima University, Concordia College, AMA, Global City Innovative College, University of the East, St. Augustine and Entrepreneurships School of Asia, respectively.

The significance of the orientation is that it helps guide the students in making their decision for their future and also, by the help of this, it wouldn’t be difficult for the students to choose the right course and right school for them. Hence, this will help the students, especially the graduating ones, to find it easier to understand and accept that collegiate life is a lot different from high school life because college is where they will learn to be responsible and independent.

College also determines the students’ future career; that’s why while the students are still young, they should start being productive and independent so it will be easier for them to do things when they get to college.
